Instructions for EducatorsÂ
1. Introduction to the Activity:Â
- Purpose: Explain to students the purpose of the skills mapping survey. Emphasise how it will help them identify their unique strengths and cultural assets, and how these can be aligned with industry needs.Â
- Benefits: Highlight the benefits of this activity, including the development of a personalised skills map and the tailored feedback they will receive.Â
2. Administering the Survey:Â
- Access: Provide students with the link to the online survey. Ensure they have access to a computer or mobile device with internet connectivity.Â
- Instructions: Guide students through the process of completing the survey. Explain the importance of answering honestly to get the most accurate and useful feedback.Â
- Time: Allow sufficient time for students to complete the survey thoughtfully.Â
3. Tailored Feedback:Â
- Results: After completing the survey, students will receive detailed feedback. This feedback will include a summary of their skill levels, personalised recommendations, and an action plan for skill development.Â
- Download: Instruct students on how to download their feedback report. Ensure they understand the importance of saving and reviewing this report.Â
4. Sharing and Developing a Skills Development Programme:Â
- Sharing Feedback: Encourage students to share their feedback report with educators, academic advisors, and/or careers consultants.Â
- Discussion: Schedule one-on-one or group sessions to discuss the feedback. Use this time to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement.Â
